Cartier exhibition. Tutti Frutti bandeau Posted by Beth on January 15, 2019, 5:56 am Mike's recent comment about the Cartier Exhibition prompted me to download some more photos I took. Below is the Mountbatten tutti frutti bandeau, purchased from Cartier, London, in 1928. The bandeau can be divided into 2 bracelets. The photo below shows where one of the joins is located. I have never seen an image of Edwina Mountbatten wearing the jewel as a bandeau; however, there are photos of her wearing it as a bracelet. Today the tiara is owned by the Bollingers who lend it to the V & A. Apparently the first time the jewel was allowed to leave the UK (after it was sold) was for the 2018 Cartier Exhibition. The necklace, as it is today, was a re-working of the original jewel. Daisy Fellows photographed wearing the first version. Edit: As Ashdean noted below, this double clip brooch was owned by Linda Porter, not Daisy Fellows as I initially stated.

She also had a tutti frutti twin clip brooch, which was displayed in Canberra.
