Thanks Franck, still very little known of wedding gifts received by couples after the wedding of the present Queen. I wonder if by exposing such items in an exhibition would not set the tax man and insurers on an otherwise secret property seeing that they her sons had to pay an inheritance tax on receiving their mother's estate as the late PoW was a private citizen when she passed and was no longer the PoW which may have been different for tax purposes had she still been the PoW while passing. But I would have thought by now at least some of her jewels may have been exhibited such as happened with HM diamonds in 2012.
Regards,
Dave.

Surely the Cambridge Lovers Knot tiara was only loaned to her & not given to her?

Hi Dave I suspect that the IHT exposure got taken care of long before she died. There are a number ways around paying the full amount. However it was said that many of the Kent's financial attrition started from the fact that Marina, Duchess of Kent had to pay death duties, as they were then called, when her husband died in the second world war.

Re: Princess Diana - information about the Lady Kalla Watch
I don't know why but the more I think of some of the alterations to Princess Diana's wedding gift jewels the more baffled I am. Especially regarding the diamond watch. At the time the gift was 1. seemingly very personal gift of a Sheika, 2. Probable the most important watch in the world.
Also, the fact she did not wear some gifts publicly.
I do hope this watch will be worn in the future by the Duchess of Cambridge !

Re: Princess Diana - information about the Lady Kalla Watch
I wonder whether or not a lot of the wedding gifts are not considered private property as the wedding was a state occasion. Perhaps therefore they are not all yet at the two dukes disposal or ever will be, certainly perhaps not to dispose or disperse of as they wish.
