Amy Adams Oscars 2019

I saw a picture of Amy Adams wearing one of a pair of Cartier clip brooches as a pendant to her rivière. While looking for a picture I found an online article instead. Clip can be worn on its own as a clip, in a pair as a brooch, in a pair on either end of a lacquer bangle and now suspended on a necklace.
Not that I've ever dug that deeply, more just been a bit of a passive observer but I'd always thought they either popped into a jewellers and asked what they could borrow or had something offered to them via the stylist.
I wonder if Cartier decided to go the extra mile or vice versa when they found out Lady Gaga was to wear the Tiffany piece.
To get into the vaults to go though the archive of the bought back pieces is very impressive.

I don’t understand why a jeweler would want to loan items from an archive that will never be for sale. Loaning things that are currently for sale makes perfect sense but that item is unachievable, even for a billionaire.
I would suspect that Cartier perhaps have realised that the sort of person who buys their one-off very high end pieces doesn't want them to have been previously worn in public.
A very close friend of mine is very well connected with a well known billionaire family and says that one of well known members has a safe full of jewellery she hardly ever wears. However when she does wear it, apart from a pair of earrings or bracelet in public. it for when she attends a few parties very off the radar where she would show the better pieces.
In the end I'm sure Cartier know what they doing the same way Tiffany knew what they were doing in lending the necklace they did to Lady Gaga.
