The first time I ever really read much about Princess Charlotte was in Purple Secret by Warren, Hunt and Rohl https://books.google.com.au/books/about/Purple_Secret.html?id=S5dqQgAACAAJ&redir_esc=y I found it a fascinating read.

Some of the wedding presents" Thank you for finding that article. One of things that stands out to me is the omission of the gifts that would have come from other family members. One other thing that is quite interesting is that there is no mention of anything from her parents, the crown prince and princess of Prussia. Nor anything from her siblings and aunts and uncles. Whilst not everything could have been covered I would have certainly have thought her parents gift would have been included as standard and also because it would probably have been one of the most important gifts. Some of the wedding presents" I hadn't appreciated that the press report didn't say anything about the gifts from her parents, but it is a striking omission. I am sure that they would have given her significant gifts. If I get time on the weekend, I will look in a biography I have of the Empress Frederick.

Some of the wedding presents" I read in an article that the wedding gift(s) from the bride's parents had not been displayed with the gifts described in the article. So I think that the press, who were granted access to the viewing, was not able to see - and consequently not able to describe - this/these particual gift(s). And I guess no details of the gift were given to the press from the Imperial court either. But I agree, it would surely have been something substantial.
