Olga Picasso's DIamond Rivière Posted by Thomas on March 28, 2019, 8:02 am Courtesy of the Chaumet Archives I discovered this fantastic picture of a diamond rivière purchased at Chaumet Paris in the 1930s by Pablo Picasso, who apparently gifted wis first wife Olga some very lavish jewels. The picture is currently displayed in Paris, boulevard Saint-Germain, along with the original accounts of the Maison Chaumet, which list the purchases made in the name of Madame Picasso. The small exhibit, 'Brillantes Écritures', runs until April 1st.

I didn't realise that Picasso had purchased fine jewels. I particularly like the clasp on this necklace and the combination of baguettes and brilliant cut diamonds.
