Queen Maxima was very understated with her jewels on this occasion, although her earrings are stunning. I was especially taken with the photo of Princess Beatrix (I keep wanting to call her Queen Beatrix!). It seems to me that the clasp to her necklace is yet another, different amethyst clasp from one I have seen previously. Then, there is her brooch, which I know she has worn before. But has anyone ever found information about it? It is a stunning piece.
