Boule diamond necklace Posted by Beth on April 19, 2019, 6:31 am Does anyone know anything more about this unusual necklace? The newspaper caption says that the beads are not drilled. So, I wonder how the diamonds are fixed. Could it be that the newspaper comment means only that the diamonds are fully drilled through as a bead would normally be for a necklace, and that possibly the edge of each bead is drilled horizontally, allowing a small metal piece to be inserted to secure one bead to the next?

Source was the Sketch 29 June 1932. Thank Heavens museum and exhibition displays have improved since then. People admiring the exhibits.

I absolutely love briolette diamonds, and to find enough stones to make a perfectly graduated and matched necklace is a true prowess. I do hope it still exists somewhere...
