QEQM and Queen Adelaide's brooch
Posted by Beth on May 9, 2019, 7:16 am
In December 1944 Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother was made a Master of Middle Temple, one of the Inns of Court in London. HM was the first female Bencher of the Inn.
For the occasion QEQM wore the coronation diamond drop earrings, Queen Victoria's diamond bracelet, pearls and Queen Adelaide's brooch pinned to the centre of her bodice.
In December 1950 QEQM again wore Queen Adelaide's brooch to the ceremonial dinner at Middle Temple.
Does any one know if HM was photographed wearing this brooch on any other occasions?
