Princess Otto von Bismarck Posted by Beth on May 14, 2019, 7:14 pm One of the renowned beauties on the social scene in London in the 1930s was Princess Otto von Bismarck. She seems to have had a very limited number of evening jewels at her disposal: a tiara, a large brooch with a large pendant, earrings and a sizeable bracelet. As I know nothing about the jewels of the Bismarck family, I hope that someone can give us additional information.

Her mother in law nee Countess Hoyos was herself the daughter of Alice Whitehead a torpedo manufacturers daughter from Bolton, Lancashire!

His second wife was Countess Hedvig Ingeborg Madeleine Douglas who had divorced her first husband Charles-Louis Fouché, 6th duc d'Otrante. She was Prince Richard of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg's maternal grandmother and under the name Madeleine Tengbom present at his wedding to Princess Benedikte.
