Please remember to put the "name" of the brooch in the subject heading, so the thread does not become too confusing. At the end I'll try to collate the list and photos into something which people can easily refer to in the future. I hope everyone enjoys this thread.

This brooch has been worn. Thank you Maridje. Has this brooch been worn by QEII? I cannot recollect it. Brooch given to QEQM when she launched the Ark Royal in 1950. Re the brooch worn in Canberra (as Duchess of York) I recollect that Franck identified it as the turquoise brooch (from the wedding gift parure) and that we found photos of Princess Margaret wearing it where it looked the same. I then found a couple of reports in Australian newspapers which said it was a turquoise brooch and not an opal brooch as many newspapers reported.
