The Al Thani auction. Posted by Beth on June 3, 2019, 4:52 pm As I am sure most are aware on 19 June Christie's will be auctioning a number of items from the famous Al Thani collection. I was stunned when I saw that it had a large emerald. Because the Marchioness had worn it with the French sapphire parure, I assumed that the central stone was a sapphire.
