I feel it could have come from one of the younger members of her family, maybe one or a set of her grandchildren, seeing that it seems to be tradition for royals to band together to purchase one gift for a family member. I wish that Her Majesty's press office would release some information about this jewel. But what is on the "Queen's Jewel Vault site" is very interesting. IMHO and with due respect to the giver and HM this is simply horrid. It looks as though it came from the party section of KMART or Walmart or and Aldi 0.99 special.... My least favourite jewel of her Majesty. the only jewel worse is the Queen of Dennmark's poppy tiara.!
