Margaret Grosvenor, Marchioness of Cambridge. Tiara wedding gift
Posted by Beth on August 23, 2019, 7:58 pm
For her wedding to Prince Adolphus of Teck, Margaret Grosvenor was given a tiara as a joint present from the Duke and Duchess of Teck and Queen Mary.
It was a tiara with diamond stars.
I have checked very carefully, but no one seems to have discovered where the tiara originated.
The gift.
We are all familiar with this tiara, but in a modified form. It was seen most frequently on Dorothy, Marchioness of Cambridge. In some photos the band can be seen clearly allowing a positive identification. Whether Margaret or Dorothy added the pearls is something I have not solved.
The details are not so clear in this photo

Good find as always Beth. I read somewhere that all Westminster family members are benefactors of huge trust from the Westminster estates even up to now.
Regards,
Dave.
