Like you Beth, I was trying to reconcile our knowledge of QVs sapphires. Apart from the Prince Albert brooch, and the sapphire tiara, can anyone point to other known Sapphire jewels owner by QV. Queen Victoria had a necklace and pendant plus a second Älbert brooch. I have no information about sapphire bracelets. Does anyone? Edit: Ooops!! I think that was the bracelet given to Mary, Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood.

I think that we are all familiar with the sapphire and diamond tiara belonging to Queen Victoria This is from a 1868 sketch held in the Royal Collection. The tiara immortalised in a painting. The large sapphire brooch given to her as a wedding gift by Prince Albert can also be glimpsed. King George V gave Queen Victoria's sapphires, (the tiara, a necklace and bracelet) to his daughter, Mary, Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood as a wedding gift. Princess Mary wearing the tiara, necklace and bracelet (on her right wrist).
