Rrenovated Galerie d' Apollon in the Louvre Museum Posted by Maria Olivia on January 10, 2020, 6:57 am i went yesterday to Paris and visited the Louvre. I bought the Point de vue of this Week. Vincent Meylan wrote an exclusive Article of 5 pages about "les diamands de la Couronne sont de retour." I was absolutely deligted to see in the first Showcase the diamond Regent (140 carats , the Sancy 55 carats who were on King Louis XV's Crown the last one which survived and the Hortensia pink diamond of 25 carats bought by King Louis XIV. The second show case were diamonds of the first Empire , Empress Marie Louise Emeralds, A new in the Museum(2019) ruby and diamond holy Spirit plaque , ruby braclets created for the Duchess of Angoulème. The Huge Duchess of Angoulème emerald tiara I so often look in my files. And I saw ma favourite parure the late Comtesse de Paris whole saphire parure. She wore it so well! In the third showcase Empress Eugenie Crown. Empress Eugenie big Brooch , the reliquaire Brooch.The pearl and diamond wedding tiara of Princess Gloria of Thurn ad Taxis . Dear Vincent , Thank you so much . I could take any picture bacause the elaborated inside lights which gave an extroardinary Glitter to the jewels. i suppose they openend the showcases when you were there to allow Julio Piatti to take all this great picures . I hope I am not doing history and english mistakes. MO
