Fabergé Exhibition at Amalienborg Palace
Posted by The Royal Watcher on February 23, 2020, 9:49 pm
Fellow poster JR1976 and I had wonderful visit to the Amalienborg Palace Museum, HERE, to see the new Fabergé Exhibition, which also had a display case with jewels from the Crown Jewels.
We also found out some interesting information about Queen Alexandrine’s Russian Sapphire Tiara, HERE, namely that the tiara was always owned by Princess Elisabeth, meaning it it was only loaned to Countess Anne Dorte, and that it belongs to an anonymous owner who loaned the Tiara to the exhibition and doesn't belong to the Palace Museum as previously thought.
Does anyone else think that the diamond elements of the tiara look quite like the pearl and diamond vine necklace of Princess Marina/ Grand a Duchess Elena. In fact the necklace looks finer than the tiara. More delicate.
