Alba Tiaras
Posted by RDavid on February 27, 2020, 6:12 am
The Martinez de Irujo aka the family of the late Duchess of Alba still have two tiaras in their possession (the third one known in the family as La Rusa was sold years ago to buy an horse for Caetano). Yesterday I questioned Eugenia Martinez de Irujo (Duchess of Alba’s daughter) on Instagram about the ownership of the remaining tiaras and she replied me. It seems that the Ducal Crown, similar to the one of Queen of Fabiola belongs to her brother, Carlos the Duke of Alba. The one that the Albas inherited from Empress Eugenie of France made with pearls and diamonds seems to be the property of Caetana’s daughter, Eugenia. It is sad to know that the collection was divided between brothers but makes sence of course.
(Beth can you teach me how to post pictures when publishing please? I used to know how to do it but know it doesn’t work)

Very interesting! Thank you RDavid! So the jewels have been divided amongst the children.
Re posting images.
Generally people need an online photo hosting account. Each company has a different method of directing users how to post images in forums/blogs/boards.
There is another way using the link button on the extreme right hand side at the bottom of the window where we type our posts but, despite trying to find a previous post where a member described how to use it, I cannot find the information.
