Princess Marina Duchess of Kent. Emerald Posted by Beth on March 2, 2020, 7:19 pm I came across this press item of Princess Marina wearing an emerald drop on her forehead. Unfortunately, there wasn't a photo. How I wish there was! The news item is from July 1937. Has anyone any ideas about what this jewel might be?

Emerald" Many thanks to everyone for clearing up this mystery for me. I am sorry that I didn't respond for so long. In all my rushing in the last few days, I realise that I have overlooked several things. I wish that there had been a photographer lurking to take a photo of Princess Marina on this occasion so that we could see precisely how she attached the emerald so that it rested on her forehead.
