I found this on Instagram of the Portugese royal jewels. They are beautiful and not been seen in public since 1991!
some are stolen in 2002 I don't know if there are back. But I know the emerald bow was probably not on display.

In the Museum in The Hague, jewellery and diamonds were stolen for over 6 million euros on the night from Sunday to Monday. Museum spokesman Arjan Agema confirmed this. In connection with the police investigation, Agema cannot make any statements about how the thieves proceeded.
The Museum in The Hague has been closed indefinitely in connection with the investigation. The jewellery and diamonds were temporarily on display in the Museum in The Hague.
A total of fifty diamonds and jewels were stolen from the museum. The Portuguese crown jewels had the highest insurance value, according to Agema. These jewels from the former royal house of Portugal were on loan from the Palacio Nacional de Ajuda.
Glad you enjoyed, I can't really comment on the history associated with these extraordinary jewels but I have found some pictures of Queen Amelie, the last Queen before Portugal became a republic wearing some of the jewels - the star tiara and the diamond necklaces and brooches
She wasn't a beautiful woman but she was very regal and imposing looking lady, every inch a Queen and she had a most tragic life, ending her life in exile having seen her husband and son murdered before her eyes and outliving her last child by almost two decades.
When you see how large and imposing the Star tiara is on the Queen's head, it gives you some context as to how GINORMOUS that emerald brooch must be.
An exceptional display, the diamonds are all old cut and huge. I am sure there was a former post which featured the a Portuguese royal palace and some of the most beautiful and large diamonds I have ever seen. And in that post it was related that back in the day the Portuguese either had the most valuable or were second to the Russian Tsars. There was also a video to boot.

I read somewhere (and now I can’t find the original article), that he Ajuda Palace is creating a jewelry room but it won’t be open for a few years— the project keeps being delayed.
