I'm doing a short article on The Yugoslavian Diamond Kokoshnik Tiara and I was wondering if anyone had any close up pictures from Prince Alexander's wedding in 1955? I'm trying to work out when the central diamonds were sold. Kind regards Sam

I haven't been able to find a closer view of Princess Olga at the 1955 wedding. Below is an enlargement from a photo showing a large group at the church door. I think that the tiara is the same as it appeared in earlier years. When I zoomed in on a photo from 1962, I realised that the hanging diamonds are still there. I suspect that the upper layer of the tiara was repositioned so that there is a gap between the lower section and the upper. What do others think? On the left is a 1962 photo; on the right a 1937 photo.

Well, shut the front door, I think you're right! I suppose close up, the diamond drops look more substantial, hence why the gaps were noticeable in the 60s, but if they've re adjusted the height then that would make sense.

I don’t have any information about this, but I think this is one more reason to buy Dimitri of Yugoslavia’s book when it is published at the end of this year.

I contacted Prince Dimitri after I published my article on the Kokoshnik Tiara, HERE, (which will soon be updated thanks to Beth's excellent work), and he informed me that he had no idea about the current location or the fate of the tiara but lets hope he found something when researching his book!
