Hey all, hope we are all doing well.
I'm trying to put out some small articles daily (to stop myself going nuts) and I thought Grace Kelly's collection was easy enough.
Does anyone know which jeweller made her small diamond tiara?
Sorry Sam I know nothing about Princess Grace's tiara. There is so little information available about the Grimaldi jewels until the time of Princess Charlene's wedding.
One thing which has always intrigued me is the dispute over payment for a jewel ordered by the National Council for the wedding.
Below is what I have been able to find. Perhaps there will be more in the French press?

This is a common problem within the jewellery industry. One jeweller values an item as X but another jeweller will say it's worth Y. Then customer thinks you lied to them!
It's an opinion at the end of the day, yes you can use market values on diamonds and gold but these fluctuate on a daily basis and what is prized by one jeweller can be dismissed by another.
It's why I'm sceptical to use G.I.A certificates, just because their opinion is more expensive doesn't make it right.
