Daisy Fellows. Necklace identification? Posted by Beth on July 4, 2020, 6:15 pm I wonder if Daisy Fellows was wearing her bib necklace of diamonds and emeralds? What do others think? Do we know who made the necklace, etc? 1958

The elongated diamond links of the rear section are clearly distinguishable, as is the hook which connects the front with the rear section. Great find, and an interesting piece. It was sold at Sotheby's »Magnificent Jewels« auction in Geneva on 17 November 2005 (Estimate 200.000–250.000 CHF, Lot sold 406.400 CHF). Here's the link to Lot 447. Sotheby's cites a Van Cleef & Arpels exhibition catalogue and Sylvie Raulet's book about Van Cleef & Arpels, but the necklace is apparently unsigned.

I am not usually a fan of bib necklaces, but this is one which I would like to see in real life to ascertain how it looked when worn. I wonder what would take over -- the sparkle of the smallish diamonds or the striking colour of the emeralds?
