Sofia zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn's Wedding Tiara
Posted by Isabelle D on August 11, 2020, 3:52 am
Today princess Sofia zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn married Archia (Archie) Akhavan-Kharazian in Autria.
According to the family's facebook, the bride's tiara and veil have been worn in the family for generations.
Re: Sofia zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn's Wedding Tiara
This Tiara seems to be the top portion of this one worn by the bride's grandmother, Princess Marianne, and aunt, Princess Teresa.
The Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn Family seem to have quite another Tiara as well (worn by her sister-in-laws and discussed last year), though I believe that her sisters wore Tiaras from their husband's families at their weddings!
The Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn diamond and pearl tiara is likely to come from the Schönborn-Wiesentehid Family as Fürstin gAbriela'a mother has worn it in the 1960's (there is a pic at The Royal Forums). And in an Interview ahead of their Wedding last year Prince Casimir and Alana said that the pearl or some of them come from Fürstin Margarethe of Thurn and Taxis, the grat-grandmother of Fürstin Gabriela.
Yes Princess Alexandra wre the Oettingen-Wallerstein tiara at her first Wedding and Princess Filippa's is unknown.
