Poor Chaumet Posted by Janet on September 7, 2020, 9:54 pm, in reply to "Once upon a Diamond - The Yugoslavian Kokoshnik Tiara" Thank you for the great link Sam, what particularly intrigued me is we have another tiara attributed to Cartier but which subsequently was discovered to be Chaumet! One of my all time favourite tiaras. Please see my thread below about how this also happened with the Lady Mountbatten tiara - Poor Chaumet! I am looking forward to hearing the reviews of the Prince's book and whether it is worth it, it is almost £50 in the UK, which I think is a tad steep and would like to know what others think - I don't want to buy if it is just regurgitating the same old pictures that we have all seen.

I would be interested to know if he had anymore information on the Grand Duchess Vladimir collection that we wouldn't already know, maybe more on the Rubies.

There was an exchange of public messages between him and Prince Dimitri where Vincent mentioned his new book having a previously unpublished photograph of Grand Duchess Vladimir's emerald tiara. And I will not say more. The book you are referring to Deals with the destiny of the emeralds of the necklace, but not The emeralds from the tiara.
