Queen's Bracelet at 2005/6 Opening of Parliament Posted by Dave on October 29, 2020, 2:47 am I casually was looking around and noticed a bracelet worn by HM QE2 which had some yellow colored stones along with some white ones and instantaneously thought about the like colored earrings debuted by the DoS and wondered whether the DoS earrings was indeed a loan from the Queen and may have been part of a bigger jewel set. I am sure that the DoCam was also reported to have received a similar colored bracelet and earrings as a gift from the PoW. I am going to try to supply a link to a picture but I am unsure if I have the right one. I believe HM is wearing the said bracelet at the 2005/6 Opening of Parliament. So far I don't think the mystery of its composition or origin has been solved. Bryce probably knows more about it than any of us. The photographs of the bracelet cause many issues in that I am unsure what is shadow and what is gemstone. I am always surprised by the bulk of this bracelet. It is not particularly delicate. I do not think that this is part of a parure, or we would have seen something else from it. The only other thing I can think of with a yellow diamond is HM’s (so called) Diamond Triangle Brooch which has a yellow diamond at the bottom (which is also hard to distinguish) Thanks all for the great photos
