Best wishes to all. Posted by Beth on October 29, 2020, 5:41 pm The daily news about the second wave of coronavirus in many parts of the world is disturbing. I wish I could write to all individually, but that is impossible. I wish everyone all the very best, as we all try to grapple with the problems this virus is causing. Some governments are now imposing another lockdown, which I know many will find daunting. Sharing our feelings can be therapeutic for our mental health, so if anyone wants to express their thoughts, please do so. I would like to take the opportunity to say to our members who live in Victoria, Australia -- Congratulations!! The miseries of the long, very restrictive lockdown (especially in Melbourne) have obviously been worthwhile. Soon, perhaps even Queensland will open its borders! (For non-Australians the reference to the Queensland border closure is causing a bit of political controversy here at present). I don't want to come over as insensitive but am still beat at where or how this catastrophe has and continues to develop. Where this virus has been reported to have started, hardly anymore deaths and cases are being reported so I am unsure if to actually believe its authenticity. Each time they lock down and reopen there it is and heads off into the same direction it was at before. What is clear is that it affects the vulnerable, 'health wise, so it pays to try to live a healthy lifestyle. So my wish is for everyone to try and stay safe and boost up on your fruits, vegetables/ herbs and water. Regards, Dave. If enduring fatigue is one of the most common symptoms of Covid-19, being tired of the enduring pandemic and its ramifications probably describes my feelings best. I'm listening to Janet Baker singing Mahler's Rückert Lieder and »Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen« doesn't sound too bad a concept for the time being. Hopefully this nightmare is over soon.
