Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Emerald Necklace Tiara

I published an article on the Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Emerald Necklace Tiara, HERE, to mark Bicentenary of the Birth of Duchess Alexandrine of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. I've been researching this Tiara for the past two years and am really excited to share this with you all.
This Necklace/Tiara was a wedding gift from Queen Victoria and Prince Albert to their sister-in-law, Duchess Alexandrine, and was worn by their own granddaughter-in-law, Princess Victoria Adelaide, Duchess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, remaining in the Saxe-Coburg and Gotha family until 1967, when it was sold at Sotheby’s.
While I didn't find an image of Duchess Alexandrine wearing the Emerald Necklace Tiara, I did find one of her wearing this other necklace of Emeralds and Diamonds with a Diamond Tiara for a Portrait taken around the time of her Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1893, which was also sold at Sotheby’s in 1967.
I really hope you enjoy this as much as I did and wonder if you may have any other information or images!
I wonder if the selling of these heirlooms had something to do with the successful 1966 lawsuit by Princess Caroline of Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha against the family foundations to increase her monthly allowance. From what I've read the foundations were in such dire need of a cash injection that they sold off properties in the seventies.

Bit of a shame they couldnt have found their way to Sweden
either bought by the Duchess' daughter or grandson, the current King. The Swedish collection is one of my favourites and they lack an emerald tiara. I think the large emerald necklace would be much better suited to being a tiara.

That is a pity yes but Princess Sibylla had bought a country house close to Solliden Palace a few years before the auction and had spent quite a lot of money fixing it up so a purchase of her mother's jewellery was probably out of the question for her.
