Queen Margrethe's engagement ring Posted by Beth on December 24, 2020, 6:48 am On the Instagram account, z.ulg, Rafael Gluz has featured Queen Margrethe of Denmark's engagement ring. See https://www.instagram.com/p/CJFYWE7nBtf/ Apart from the delightful collection of photos, I was interested in 2 aspects. First Rafael Gluz states that the ring was made by Van Cleef and Arpels. Secondly, Catherine Carlou, one of the commentators, said that it was Queen Ingrid who ordered the ring from Van Cleef and Arpels in 1956 and gave it to her daughter. I had never known anything previously about the Queen's ring and naively assumed that the diamonds had belonged to the Prince's family. Does anyone know anything more about Queen Margrethe's ring?
