This necklace looks to me very similar to the necklace worn by QEII at the diplomatic reception. If you rotate the emerald stones and put them horizontally. The 2 little extra emerald drops on each of the square stones could be removed, I guess. The diamond links between the emeralds seem to me a match too. The pinterest page says it was Empress Eugene's necklace. What do you think?
On Ursula's site where the picture originates it says "A reproduction of the necklace in the style of c. 1855 can be seen here - on top. This is just a fiction but should give an impression of how such an important necklace might have been looked with the use of some of the emeralds once in the possession of the Empress Eugénie."
Thank you Janet! I knew I saw it sometime ago on Ursula's magnificent site! So it's a fictional necklace... Anyway the resemblance is remarkable to the Queen's necklace

The necklace is remarkably similar in style and size to the emerald necklace of Grand Duchess Vladimir, which ultimately was broken up and made into a tiara for Barbara Hutton. The original form of the necklace is nearly identical to the one the Queen was wearing.
