Malaysia - royal wedding see's tiara on display (for Royal Watcher) Posted by Janet on March 16, 2021, 5:52 am After the Royal watcher kindly shared his experiences with the Queen of Malaysia talking about her tiara (which is very similar to that of the daughter-in-law of the late Princess Patricia of Connaught), the Pahang version of tiara was worn this past weekend by the niece by marriage of the Queen of Malaysia at her wedding in the past few days - Princess Amida Afsha Afzan. It provided probably the best pictures of the tiara being worn that I have seen. Pictures from the wedding Traditional dress The bride's mother, Tengku Shahariah, the sister of the King There appears to have been some kind of formal engagement ceremony before Xmas, which also featured the use of impressive jewels. I had just seen some pictures from the wedding on Instagram right before I saw your post and I'm so happy that you uploaded really high quality photos of the Tiara. It is such a striking piece and I find it amazing how the Malaysian Royals manage to fit in a couple of tiaras into their wedding celebrations! The Queen did say to me that she bought the Tiara individually (and sent me pictures of the case), so I think the accompanying necklace and earrings (which are similar in design but have big differences) were likely created more recently.
