Queen Mary's Canadian Maple leaf brooch worn in 1925 Posted by Beth on April 5, 2021, 1:57 pm Interest in this brooch commenced amongst jewellery lovers after it was worn by Queen Elizabeth during her Canadian tour in July 2010. Initially Brock of the Royal Jewels of the World Message Board posted a description of a brooch presented to Queen Mary in Montreal in 1901. Torkel's information proved that the brooch worn by QEII was the one given to Queen Mary. It makes complete sense for Queen Mary to be wearing a gift from a Dominion country." There is something pinned on her shoulder, but I cannot be sure what it is.

The caption isn’t quite accurate; the name of the building was Canada House and it has been the Canadian High Commission’s offices since George V opened it in 1925.
