Queen Ena of Spain Bracelet Watch sold by Coutau Begarie/Drouot Posted by Maria Olivia on April 24, 2021, 12:14 am A Bracelet Watch of +/- 12 carats from Henri Lyon Paris, 1919, belonging to the late Queen Ena of Spain is presented at the Auction of Coutau Begarie on May 7th. Item 332. The sellers are Relatives of Charlotte Tiedeman, second wife of the Duke of Segovie. They add the last page of a Document : "l' expertise et la taxation des bijoux de feu Sa Majesté la Reine Victoria Eugenie d' Espagne sur la base d'une valeur de partage ": made at Lucern March 20th 1970 and signed E. Gübelin.

Wouldn't it be interesting to be able to see the complete inventory of Queen Ena's jewels at the time! Then, it would be clear what she had gifted to others before her death and what jewels were bequeathed to whom.

As famous Opera Singer she did improve the Duke's speaking. When the Duke passed away, she was completely alone and ill and sold Queen Ena's Watch to survive. It is its second Auction !
