Query: Katharine, Duchess of Kent’s bead necklace Posted by Knightship on July 9, 2021, 7:11 pm This has puzzled me for a very long time, but I’m not very familiar with the Kent’s jewels so maybe some members could help? Does anyone have an uncropped version of this photo of Katharine, Duchess of Kent? I guess it is from the 1970-1980s. Are there any known details about the three-strand bead necklace she is wearing? Are there any other photos of Katharine where she is wearing the same bead necklace? I might be jumping to conclusions, but I think the design looks very similar to Queen Sonja’s emerald bead necklace. She recently wore it in a new released photo, celebrating 30 years as King and Queen of Norway: A comparison:
