William IV sent bracelets with cypher to Queen Maria of Portugal in 1835

I found this news report from 1835 stating that William IV of the UK had sent 2 pairs of diamond bracelets with the cyphers of William IV and Queen Adelaide to Queen Maria II of Portugal and her widowed step mother, Empress Amelia.
I have no idea whether these bracelets would have had square clasps like those in the Royal Collection or whether they might have been round ones.
Does anyone know more about this set of jewels?
I suspect that the round one seen below might have been the more valuable and so a more fitting gift to a fellow monarch --but??
