In the below YouTube video, their is a lady at 18:58 mins claiming that the late Princess received as a gift while in Kuwait a gold chest with gold jewels. What does others think of this?

Could very well be true. I think the vaults of Buckingham Palace must be overflowing with Jewels and gold gifts given over the years that never get worn. A lot of it has to do with whether these gifts get declared as either state property or personal property (in which case they are liable for death taxes)
There’s a whole debate about this kind of gift giving. Camilla’s Saudi jewels are a good example.
I also remember reading about Edward VII receiving gifts from the Maharajas and the details being published but by the Edward VIII went on his tours it was hushed up.

She was indeed offered gold chest gift with gold jewels.
However and sadly, I have never found a good photo of the gold jewels

It must have been considered as a state gift as same was received on a state visit then, but then they are pictures around with Diana wearing some serious gold jewelry such as a solid gold necklace and bracelets.
