Thanks. On the pic of the tiara we can see how the tiara was again rearranded a bit in the center as the are is no again a bit stickung up like it was in Queen Ingrid's version. It was worn this way or 2 times by the Crown Princess.
I must admit that I think the parure looks much better when seeing it with such high quality photo. Love that the Danish royal house are so open minded to show off their stuff. Wish that Queen Margrethe could inspire "my" Queen Sonja to do the same here. GalP
I never really rated it before as beautiful jewels but recognised its historical significance but these good quality pictures really forced me to reconsider my views. I think its the tiara that I struggle with.
Maybe Queen Sonja is still a bit 'scarred' by the theft from Garrard of Queen Maud's pearl tiara? I can understand why the Royal family aren't so keen to promote their jewels, frankly after all of the high profile thefts I am still baffled they let them be displayed outside of royal palaces.
