One will also note that the QM is wearing an oval shaped diamond ring and a diamond encrusted watch. It appeared early in the war era. I suspect that it was part of Mrs Greville's bequest, but of course I have no positive proof. Unfortunately, I cannot see enough detail of the ring to guess.
