Queen Mother's bracelets at princess Anne's christening Posted by PaulP, on April 11, 2022, 4:59 am At the christening of Pss Anne in 1950, Queen Elizabeth (later QEQM) wore bracelets i can't identify. We notice on her left wrist one that Frank said was an emerald bracelet from the Greville bequest. Can anyone identify the additional bracelet(s)? I first noticed the bracelet in very early 1944 photographs. Apologies that I cannot post photos at present. I have wasted an hour trying to make Photobucket work. She didn't use the elaborate diamond bracelet worn later at Anne's christening. I believe that QEQM was wearing the Greville emerald bracelet to the christening of Prince Charles. Years ago many believed that the fact that QEQM wore the bracelet and the brooch for her Silver Wedding portraits as well as the christening of Prince Charles and Princess Anne was proof that they were George VI's wedding anniversary gift to her.
