King Juan Carlos Posted by Dave on February 13, 2023, 3:48 am The Spanish royals are an intriguing bunch. I have been watching the below documentary about the now deposed King Juan Carlos and the historical elements that led to him being crowned Spain's king, and the story is very intriguing. For one Spain had a very turbulent and violent history and it appears that both world wars have their genesis to the political issues that plagued Spain. I am convinced that General Franco was a good and decent man and was a monarchest. In the video at 16:46 minutes is that the king's sister Infanta Pilor and can anyone identify the necklace she is wearing which looks like red large stones. What are the jewels worn by Queen Sophia at 21:29 minutes? The jewels worn by the lady in green at 21:10 minutes? At 21:18 minutes a lady in a red gown wears a large brooch. At 21:15 minutes there is a lady standing on the right in a grey dress her brooch and necklace is outstanding. At 20:20 minutes there is a clear line up of the Spanish royals and who I think is lady Franco, any thoughts to what are the brooches and earrings worn by Queen Sophia et al. https://youtu.be/UXDgauIcSK0 Regards, Dave.

However, Franco may have been a monarchist, but I don't think he was a good and decent man. I know from in-laws family then when Mrs F came to Barcelona she'd go to the jewelers and take jewels 'send me the bill', never got paid & of course wasn't chased for payment. Queen Frederica's Jewels Posted by The Royal Watcher on February 15, 2023, 11:49 pm, in reply to "King Juan Carlos" The lady at 21:15 is Queen Frederica of Greece, the grandmother of the now King Felipe VI of Spain at his christening in 1968. She wore her Ruby Pendant, Queen Helen’s Russian Sapphire Earrings, and her Diamond Bow Brooch!
