Wonderful Scottish ducal tiara at auction

The sale estimate is just $6-8,000. An absolute steal for what looks like an impressive tiara, even if the stones are likely not of the best quality.

The tiara originally came from the collection of the Dukes of Atholl, one of Scotland's most prestigious titles. Oh to dream that maybe the Queen of Denmark with her Scottish roots may see this and decide to buy it.

Thank You for sharing Janet! I did some research for my article and saw that the Tiara was worn as a Necklace by the 8th Duchess of Atholl at the Royal Caledonian Ball in 1952.

I seem to have missed your post on the Atholl Jewels, and they didn't turn up in online searches, but I have added your links into the article. I found that photo of the Duchess of Argyll on tumblr but have credited you underneath as well.
