Ambulance update for May

I'm feeling very proud of our ambulance team. In the past 22 days, since we started service on May 9, we have had 10 calls and literally saved the lives of 3 of those patients, while delivering all of the patients to the appropriate hospital. And this is low season! We continue with our training 3 nights a week, and we're always thinking of ways to better serve the community. Unfortunately, without more donations, at the rate we're going, we may not make it to November when our generous donors return to La Manzanilla. From the 10 calls we made, we were given only $1200p. Once again, I'll explain how we function. It costs the ambulance fund between $1600p and 2000p for each call. That money goes toward paying our team. We greatly appreciate a donation of that amount, but if you can't afford that much, give what you can! Every little bit helps! Donations continue to be accepted at the Lab, at Mayan's La Manzanilla Homes, or you can transfer money directly into our Intercam account. If you wish to donate to the bank, PM me, and I'll send you all the information you need! In the meantime, thank you to our wonderful ambulance team. They are out there saving lives!
