Welcome to another beautiful high season in La Manzanilla! Your ambulance team has been very busy over the summer, completing 37 calls, or approximately 2 calls per week. Here is a rundown of the services we performed:
2 calls from pregnant women in distress
2 heart attacks
7 scorpion stings
2 drownings
3 post surgery problems
1 case of dengue fever
1 anxiety attack
1 issue with diabetes
1 bicicle accident
3 motorcycle accidents
4 car accidents
2 cases of dehydration
1 case of pneumonia
3 cases of breathing problems
2 fractures
2 cases of internal damage
Additionally, the ambulance team was called into service when there was an accident with a gas tanker and our help was needed to clean up the spill, and the team cleared tree limbs after a big storm and helped repair the caratera.
During this time, we received $17,100 pesos in donations which comes out to about $460 pesos per call. Considering that each calls cost between $1300-2000 pesos to do, you can see how important it is to support our fund raisers and to make donations.
We so appreciate your continued support and look forward to serving you in the coming season. Isn’t it good to know that we have such a dedicated team ready to help you if something happens to you?
