Winter Solstice is an important, ancient holy day marking the darkest time and longest night of the year. The return of the light is celebrated during this time, as the days will begin to lengthen from this moment on. In agriculturally based communities, the winter solstice marks the half-way point to spring and hope is rekindled. Join us for a communal ceremony Saturday, Dec. 21st at 6:00 pm with a potluck feast to follow. Bring a potluck dish to share; a story, poem, song or reading to share at the ceremony and drums, shakers and rattles. (Dishes, cutlery and cups provided.) THE LIGHT IS RETURNING! All are welcome.
