No opening joke this week, just love for friends and family of Willy. I had the good fortune of chatting with him a few months ago and I remain thankful he helped welcome me to La Manzanilla in 2013 before I moved here. Rest in peace, Willy.
GET READY TO ROCK THE HOUSE, er CASITAS
The amazing Chava plays at 5 p.m. every Tuesday at Crocodile Casitas and Glamping. You don’t need a reservation to enjoy the show. AMERICAN FOOTBALL GAMES
We don’t have illusions of becoming a sports bar. However, we will offer all the NFL playoff games in English and you can practice your Spanish while watching the College Football Playoff.
TRANSPORTATION
Thanks to everyone who has come to visit us at our new location on the north end of the beach. We’re trying to set up a shuttle to the jardin and back as soon as possible. In the meantime, the smooth beach offers a safe path for the short walk back.
PARKING
If you decide to arrive in your vehicle, please understand only guests of the casitas may park on the property. We want to provide the safest environment possible for our guests in our new glamping tents. For bicycle parking, please park your bicycle on the left-hand side immediately after you enter the property.
ONE MORE SERIOUS NOTE
In addition to sending your love to Willy and family, please pray for everyone in my beloved Louisiana. I have many fond memories of celebrating New Year’s Eve in New Orleans. My heart aches after the tragedy. Despite this sad news, let’s live life to the fullest and have a great day.
