This is for folks who have asked how and where to donate; who would like to see this remarkable young man have an opportunity of a lifetime. (In less than 2 weeks, $8,000 has been raised in support of our goal to make this a reality for David.)

Ross and I are pleased to share this GoFundMe in support of our La Catalina Foundation scholarship student, David Maldonado. We have known David for many years and have watched this gifted young musician develop into an incredibly talented guitarist. He has competed in and won numerous awards in Mexico during high school and university. At 25years old, while studying music at the University of Veracruz, he applied to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston and was chosen as one of 3 musicians - out of 100, to receive a $14,000U.S. scholarship! Super exciting for this young man who has so much potential!
Ross and I realized a GoFundMe would be a great way to help David reach his goal of attending Berklee. We have collaborated with our friend Penny Ferry, an incredibly kind and supportive American friend of David Maldonado and someone who believes in his ability to go far in the Music World. Penny has opened a designated golfundme account to receive donations for David. (So it reads this GoFundMe is in support of Penny Ferry in the small print, but she is actually the financial centre for the fundraiser as funds need to be in U.S. dollars.)
