Just a heads up, for those who might not be aware, and are coming down for the season:
Most of the Jalisco’s license plates have to be changed for new ones, and it is a bureaucratic process, so I just wanted to share with you two photos - First photo shows the Jalisco license plate with logos that have to be changed and the second photo shows the logo of the license plate that does not need to be changed (says NO on the photo, next to the plate. If you have that last logo, then you are in luck!)
I used the accountant’s services, across from the tax office in Cihuatlan, for them to make the appointment for the tax office, where I then, at a later date, got my new license plates. The government doesn’t charge for this process, but I paid the accountant a small sum to make the appointment online, since that is the part that can be cumbersome.
Lastly, make sure the annual car taxes are paid up.
Hope that helps!
