Today is the second anniversary of Daniel's passing. I always think of him as the conscience (and consciousness) of this town. His appreciation of Mexico and especially La Manzanilla were boundless.
In any community like this one, there is a changeover as the older folks move on or pass on. But when Daniel died, it really felt like the end of an era.
I would like to say 'those were the good old days' - but I know Daniel would say, it’s the good old days
now. Raise a glass to him today, and give thanks for this wonderful place where we live.
