Can anyone please tell me what I heard at 3:30 a.m. Sunday? And how did I get wet walking down the road at 7:15 a.m.? Regardless, the new palapa is high and dry!
YOUR PALAPA
In case you didn’t know, your amazing contributions during the fundraisers in March were enough to pay for our new palapa, tables and chairs. Thanks for your generosity. Muchas gracias, La Manzanilla!
SPORTS ON TV
We have access to all the NFL games for the rest of the season! We feature a 75-inch QLED screen and two other 43-inch QLED screens. The TVs also have access to essentially anything on ESPN, HBO Max and Apple TV. We should be able to display almost any sporting event, so feel free to enjoy the game and a cold beverage. We’ll even put the Seattle game on because–don’t tell anyone–the Seahawks are superior to Mateo’s lowly Saints this season.
HAPPY HOUR
Come by Monday-Friday from 3 p.m.-4 p.m. Quality sugar-free margaritas for 60 pesos–that beats 2x1 sugary “margaritas” anywhere else. Free Coronita with any tequila shot. Bucket of 6 Coronas or 6 Victorias for 180 pesos.
YOTZIN DEBUT
Getting your dancing shoes out–or at least sandals or bare feet–at 5 p.m. Monday as the Yotizin group makes its debut at the Crocodile. The four-person band will dazzle with its Latin sound from 5-7 p.m. every Monday starting Dec. 8. No reservation needed and never a cover for our weekly performers.
CHAVA
Y’all rocked at our grand opening Dec. 2! Enough so that we now accept reservations for Chava. If you wish to make a reservation for a Tuesday, we only accept reservations for 5 p.m. Please, no holding seats for your friends. At 5:10 p.m., all seats become available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations each week begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday and end at 12 p.m. the day of the show.
SPECIAL ALL WEEK, NOT ONLY TUESDAYS
We’re open seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Feel free to stop by during the day for a meal or a drink and enjoy this spectacular spot to swim. Free showers available for all restaurant customers.
EDUARDO BACK ON WEDNESDAY
Eduardo enjoyed a nice following for years at our old location on the south end of the beach. Please welcome him back to our new location on his favorite night this season from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Wednesdays. His first show this season with his smooth Spanish ballads will be Wednesday, Dec. 10. If you wish to immerse yourself in Mexican culture, please support Eduardo!
NEW HOME FOR TRIVIA
Please join us Saturday, Dec. 13, for Trivia Night. We’ll have live music with Christine starting at 5 p.m. followed by trivia.
NAHUALES DEBUT
Get ready for cumbia and more as Nahuales will play its first show at the Crocodile on Sunday, Dec. 14! No reservations needed, but if you would like a seat in the shade, show up early. We’ll have NFL games featuring Seattle, San Francisco and more in the afternoon and Nahuales will start about 6:30 p.m., as soon as the games end.
PARKING
If you decide to arrive in your vehicle, please understand only guests of the casitas may park on the property. We want to provide the safest environment possible for our guests in our glamping tents. For bicycle parking, please park your bicycle on the left-hand side immediately after you enter the property.
