I went this morning. The first thing to do is go to the office across the street on the corner with your paperwork and make an appointmment for new "Placas".

You will need your most recent elec. bill, rfc #, curp #, most recent receipt for car registration, id card or passport, original bill of sale for your car, and your tarejta de circulacion. You will also need to have a gmail or hotmail email address.

They processed everything for me including making copies and setting up my appointment which is for January. I was charged 220 pesos.


When I return i need to remove my plates and enter the main office with them in hand along with my paperwork. There will be more costs when I return. Good luck.
