PAINTING WITH PAPER: A Collage Workshop

Join us on March 2nd and 3rd from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM for a supportive, friendly session where we transform hand-colored tissue and rice papers, along with decorative papers, into vibrant collages that mimic paintings. This workshop suits artists at any level: drawing inspiration from your own photographs or ideas from your imagination, you'll tear and cut these materials into shapes, layering them to capture extraordinary lights, patterns, and depth. This user-friendly, meditative process invites experimentation—push papers around freely to build luminous works of art in a nurturing environment.

I have been working in collage for about 30 years and love its possibilities. My work can be seen at Steffich Fine Art Gallery on Salt Spring Island .The website is www.steffichfineart.com
